Rare and expensive bills of 100 rubles in circulation

The bills with which we pay for purchases and services have become so familiar that they do not arouse any interest in themselves, except for the denomination depicted on them, rarely, but carry a collection interest. Until December 2016, trial banknotes were occasionally put into circulation - prototypes, experiments, with the help of which their durability and strength were improved. The numbers and series of such bills were kept secret, and bonists, collectors of paper money, caught them out of circulation thanks to luck and constant checks of the contents of wallets and the exchange of information on forums. I'll tell you about such bills a little lower, but first I'll tell you about the rare 100 rubles of the 1997 sample, which now, in March 2017, can be found in circulation.

In August 2016, the Perm Printing Factory of Goznak prepared an experimental pilot series of 100 rubles banknotes of the 1997 version of the 2004 modification. And since December 2016, they have appeared in real circulation. This time, unlike in previous years, collectors who are fond of bonistics became aware of the appearance of these banknotes, and began to catch them in wallets, cash desks and ATMs. Over time, all experimental series and numbers of experiments became known. Series - all that begin with a capital "U", 5 experiments are planned, and the 5th series is a control one.

You can identify rare experienced banknotes by the following criteria. A total of 11 letter combinations with "U" were issued, these are:

UA, UB, UE, UK, UL, UN, UO, US, UH, UCH, UL.

This is followed by a seven-digit number, the first digit of which is the experiment number. There are 5 of them in total. This experiment consists in testing various impregnations of paper from which the banknotes are made and testing, probably, a new varnish coating. Most likely, an experiment is being carried out before the release of new bills of 200 and 2,000 rubles, because they still have not decided for sure whether they will be plastic by analogy with the new bonds of different countries. To date, the average period for which a hundred ruble is worn out is one and a half years.

It is noticed that the higher the experiment number (from 1 to 4), the stronger the impregnation, for example, 100 rubles with the UA number 4xxxxxxx is much denser in sensations and smells of paint much stronger than the banknote of the same UA series, but with the experiment number 1xxxxxxx. As for 5 experiments in each letter series, these notes were put into circulation without any changes simultaneously with the experimental batch in order to compare wear. The fifth series is called the control one. The photograph shows that on bank stubs, 100 sheets each, they are denoted with the letter "K".

Banknotes starting with the letter "U" have never been issued before, except for experimental UU in 2012. Therefore, it is easy to notice them, to catch them and put them into your collection is still realistic at face value, but, of course, collectors are very actively looking for them and - most importantly - they find them, replenishing the collections. Thanks to fresh information and their dissemination throughout the country - the area of ​​distribution from Crimea to Vladivostok, they can now be purchased quite inexpensively, they are valued only in a state of "press", that is, without kinks, tears and crumpled corners. In addition to the UO series, it is a real success to find such 100-ruble bills. The reason is that the remaining 10 series have a circulation of 1 million sheets, and the UO is the so-called "substituted" series, which was released to compensate for the zero numbers of the remaining letter series, defects and a number of really not very clear reasons. Therefore, the UO has 40,000 copies of each of the 5 experiments and much less often than the others, therefore it is valued even in a dented form.

At the end of the experiment, the banknotes of 100 rubles will be withdrawn from circulation and compared according to their dilapidation, if, of course, something remains after the collectors. Most likely, it will last no more than a year. It is interesting and, most importantly, easy to search for and buy such bills. If necessary, they can always be used for their intended purpose, without losing anything. The complete collection will include 55 bills of 100 rubles. 11 letter series, 5 experiments each. You can collect them even less expensively - for example, collect all the experiments of one letter series (5 notes) or all letter series of any one experiment (11 notes). Whatever you choose will be exciting anyway. Moreover, now there is a real chance to find them in your own wallet, in contrast to previous samples.

Perhaps the previous experimental banknotes will be lucky enough to be found in circulation. In any case, you need to know them. These were:

- 50 rubles with the AB letter series and 100 rubles of the AL series of the 2001 modification,

- 100 rubles of modification of 2004 UU, FF made of different paper quality and control series ЦЦ - from the usual one.

- 10 rubles modification of 2004, very rare FF - testing of new paper, and TsTs - new paint.

All these experiments are undoubtedly useful from all points of view - and the quality of banknotes improves and the collections of bonistas are replenished with interesting samples.

Of course, you shouldn't forget about the beautiful banknote numbers in addition to the experimental series! These are radar numbers: 1234321, the first banknotes of the series: 0000001, consecutive numbers in the number: 1234567 and, of course, the same numbers in the number. And in 1995, everyone paid in 500,000 rubles, and now each costs a thousand dollars.
