Commemorative coins of Lithuania. The Bank of Lithuania produces commemorative coins and medals (gold - denominations of 1, 10, 50, 100, 500 litas silver - denominations of 5, 10, 50 and bimetallic litas par value LTL 200) and the base (nickel silver - face values of 1 and 10 litas bimetallic 2 litas par value) of metals since 1993, when coins were issued, marking the 60th anniversary of the transatlantic flight Darius and Girenas and the visit of Pope John Paul II to Lithuania. All coins are minted by the Lithuanian Mint.
