5 rubles 1988 Soviet Union, Monument "Millenium of Russia" (Novgorod)
This monument is considered one of the masterpieces of world sculpture. Its authors - Michael Mikeshin sculptor and architect Victor Hartmann extremely well realized a great idea to combine in one building two major symbol of Russian history - the Cap of Monomakh, as an attribute of royal power and Assembly bell, symbolizing freedom and independence.
