Quarter Dollar 2011 USA "Chickasaw" 10th National Park mint mark P
A coin with the name "Chickasaw National Recreation Area" will be the last release, dated 2011-th year in a series of kvoterov "America the Beautiful." This coin is dedicated to the National Park Chickasaw (Chickasaw National Recreation Area) in Oklahoma and design of the coin shows a reversal of the known species of the park.
Chickasaw National Recreation Area is an area of almost 10,000 acres (a little over 40 square kilometers. Not much.), Of which nearly a quarter is covered by water. This area was originally placed under federal protection as a nature reserve, "Sulphur Springs" back in 1902, but in 1976 it was renamed and transferred to National Park status. Thanks to an agreement between the U.S. government and Indian tribe, Chickasaw, who sold the original 640 acres of recreation area, the entrance to their territory forbidden to all visitors of the park.
